# ARTIFACTS.md — Tengri 137: authoritative verbatim reference for every crown-jewel artifact

Compiled 2026-07-24 by the closing-out archivist pass, from the existing corpus at
`<research-workspace>` (1121 files **at the moment of compilation**; the tree was
live and measured 1161 regular files / 73,816,520 bytes at the close of the first consistency pass
and **1901 files / 556,813,801 bytes at the final pass** — see `MASTER-INDEX.md` §0 for the
timestamped counts). This file is the single place to go for **the exact bytes** of every
load-bearing artifact in the case, with provenance, tier, confidence, and every surviving variant.

**Nothing in this file was written from memory.** Every payload below was copied out of a corpus
file, and every number, length, dimension, hash and structural claim was recomputed in this
session with `python3` / `gpg` / `shasum`. The verification log is §13. Where a number could not
be computed, it is marked `NOT ESTABLISHED` rather than guessed.

> **Re-verified in the FINAL consistency pass, 2026-07-24.** Every occurrence of matrix data in this
> file — the 154 letters in both orientations, the column reads, the alphabet, the letter
> frequencies and the 11 × 14 geometry — was diffed **character by character** against
> `solve/page23_canonical.json` by script. **Zero discrepancies.** The canonical rows were in turn
> re-derived from the two PGP-clearsigned pastebins themselves
> (`recon/code-hosts/verified-originals/pastebin-raw/pastebin_FAJNLpLZ_raw.txt`, 1309 bytes, and
> `…_YUPZsz9n_raw.txt`, 1252 bytes, both CRLF): de-spacing their eleven grid lines reproduces the
> canonical forward and as-published reversed matrices exactly, and the two editions differ in
> **exactly one cell**, reversed (row 10, col 3) = forward (row 10, col 12), `M` vs `N`.
> The only near-miss letter strings in this file are the deliberately-quoted corrupted
> `bartman081523` 99-character string (which agrees with the matrix for exactly **56** characters,
> then repeats the 24-character block `UAZBEHIMLAZANRUAZBENOMBA` and introduces `Q` at positions 60
> and 95 — all four figures recomputed) and the labelled 15-token misreading `NANPSSGNNRCSSSE`.
> A machine-readable atomic-number pre-image of the whole grid now exists at
> `solve/page23_dinomes.tsv` / `.json`, with one grid per row-9 reading per orientation.

## 0. HOW TO READ THIS FILE

**Provenance tiers**

**Confidence** is graded on the artifact, not on the tier:
- **CRYPTOGRAPHIC** — the exact bytes are bound by a GOOD OpenPGP signature from the author's key. Nothing can be higher.
- **HIGH** — two genuinely independent channels agree exactly, *and* the payload survives independent recomputation.
- **MEDIUM** — high-fidelity but single-rooted (one source, multiply transcribed).
- **LOW / SPECULATION** — as labelled.

**Nomenclature.** "dinome" = a two-digit group of the repeating decimal (the term used by the 2017
solvers). Where the atomic number is ≥ 100 the group is three digits — see §3.

**The open problem.** The 154-letter page-23 matrix is fully recovered and deterministically
reproducible from the printed arithmetic. **What it MEANS is still unsolved.** Nothing in this file
claims otherwise.

# 1. THE PAGE-23 154-LETTER MATRIX (the crown jewel)

## 1.1 Bottom line

- Dimensions: **11 rows × 14 columns = 154 letters**. A rectangle, **not** a cube. `154 = 2 × 7 × 11`.
- The letters are **not printed on page 23**. Page 23 prints **11 division fractions** plus **5 nucleobase diagrams** (§2). The grid is *derived*: fraction → repeating decimal period → dinomes → element atomic number → **first letter of the element SYMBOL**.
- Forward orientation, row 1 = `BURUMUTREFAMTU`. Mirrored orientation, row 1 = `UTMAFERTUMURUB`.
- Both orientations were published by the author in **PGP-clearsigned pastebins**, and **both signatures verify GOOD** (re-verified with `gpg` in this session, §1.13).
- **Confidence on the 154 letters: CRYPTOGRAPHIC** (author-signed) **and** independently re-derived from the printed arithmetic in this session (§1.9), 11/11 rows exact.
- One cell disagrees between the author's own two signed publications: forward row 10 col 12. Resolved to **`M`** by the arithmetic; the author-signed `N` is preserved (§1.12).

- **col 2 and col 6 are identical for rows 1–10** and differ only at row 11 (`U` vs `I`). Verified: `col2 = UUAAOUKAAOU`, `col6 = UUAAOUKAAOI`.

Note for cryptanalysts: the never-used set `C D J Q V W X` is a hard constraint on any proposed
plaintext for the matrix. It is **not** shared by `themessage.txt`, which uses all 26 letters
freely (§10) — so a plain letter-for-letter identity between the two artifacts is excluded.

That last, unique denominator is exactly why row 9's period is 30 rather than 28.

## 1.9 FULL DERIVATION CHAIN — all 11 rows

**Recomputed from scratch in this session** with exact `fractions.Fraction` big-integer long
division and a hard-coded Z→symbol table for Z = 1…118. Method: reduce the fraction; strip factors
2 and 5 from the denominator; period = multiplicative order of 10 mod the reduced denominator;
emit the repeating block by long division; split into dinomes; map atomic number → element →
**first letter of the element SYMBOL**.

All 11 fractions have **pre-period length 0** (purely periodic — verified), so the repeating block
begins immediately after the decimal point.

**Result: 11 of 11 rows reproduce the PGP-signed grid EXACTLY.** The 154 letters are not a
community transcription and not an image read — they are deterministically generated by the
arithmetic the author printed. That is the strongest possible ground truth short of the signature
itself, and both agree.

## 1.10 ROW 9 — the five alternative segmentations (the ONE degree of freedom in the whole derivation)

Row 9's repeating block is **30 digits**, not 28, so exactly two of its fourteen tokens must be
three digits. The author never wrote down a rule for choosing token length. I enumerated **every**
way to cut the 30-digit block into exactly 14 tokens that are valid atomic numbers 1–118, with
tokens of 2 or 3 digits.

For completeness, the **naive all-two-digit split** of the 30-digit block yields **15** tokens, not
14: `11 13 11 46 34 51 31 11 41 37 27 62 21 14 63` → `NANPSSGNNRCSSSE`. That is the reading some
2017 solvers posted and the community rejected; it is reproduced here exactly, and it is not one of
the five valid 14-token parses.

**Why this matters.** The published row-9 reading is pinned by the **author's signature**, not by
the rule. Heuristic (not evidentiary) arguments favouring #2:
- variants 3 and 5 introduce `C` (from Co), a letter that appears nowhere else in the matrix — the never-used set is `C D J Q V W X`;
- variant 1 introduces a second `P` (the matrix contains exactly one `P`, at row 3 col 3);
- variants 4 and 5 begin with `Rg` (element 111), breaking the pattern of column 1.

**Consequence for the cracking phase:** a hypothesis that works on ten rows and fails only on row 9
should be re-tested against the four alternative readings before being discarded. This is the only
place in the entire derivation where the arithmetic does not force the answer.

**Element 114 must be read post-2012 IUPAC as Flerovium (`Fl` → `F`).** The obsolete placeholder
"Ununquadium / Uuq" gives `U` and destroys the row; one 2017 online atomic-number tool still
returned `U`, which is why some early solvers misread page 23.

## 1.11 Segmentation uniqueness across all 11 rows (computed this session)

Number of ways to cut each row's repeating block into exactly 14 valid atomic numbers:

Two findings worth carrying forward:

1. For rows 1–8, 10, 11 the segmentation is **unique** and the derivation is fully forced — *provided* single-digit tokens are excluded. Period 28 = 14 × 2 leaves no freedom.
2. **If single-digit tokens are allowed, uniqueness fails for rows 4, 6, 8 and 11 as well** (20, 63, 15 and 15 alternative parses). The "no single-digit dinome" convention is therefore load-bearing and is nowhere stated by the author. It is implied only by the word "dinome" and by the global 14-letters-per-row constraint. Recorded as an unstated assumption, not as a rule.

## 1.12 The M/N discrepancy — forward row 10, column 12

This is the **only** position-level ambiguity anywhere in the matrix record, and it is an
**author-side** inconsistency, not a transcription error.

- Row 9 has **four** arithmetic-legal alternative readings besides the published one (§1.10).

**Attribution.** Solved March 2017 by **Klaus Tappeiner** (South Tyrol, Italy), who posts on Reddit
as **u/Adam31415**. Identity link is his own statement on Klaus Schmeh's blog: *"I posted the result
also on tengri137.wikia.com under the reddit user name adam31415."* On the blogs he signs simply
"Klaus"; he is **not** blog owner Klaus Schmeh and **not** commenter "Klaus Adami". TIER of the
*name*: SECONDARY. TIER of the *method and numbers*: PRIMARY (Reddit + Wikia, independent).

## 3.1 The algorithm

**CRITICAL NUANCE — it is the first letter of the SYMBOL, not of the English name.** Proof from the
solved text: `80 = Hg → H` (the H of "THE"/"THOUGHT"), `11 = Na → N` (the N of "MANKIND"),
`105 = Db → D`, `114 = Fl → F`. Schmeh's article loosely says "first letter of each element"; every
worked decode confirms the symbol rule.

**NOTE on the 3-digit rule.** It is *not* a blind "if the value is 100–118, take 3 digits" rule — a
greedy version mis-parses (it would grab `111` as element 111 in row 9, see §1.10). In practice:
default to 2-digit pairs and take a 3-digit group only where the 2-digit parse fails to produce a
coherent result. The author never stated the rule. §1.11 quantifies exactly how much freedom this
leaves.

**The letter Q cannot be produced** — no element symbol begins with Q. This is why the page-22
plaintext reads `UNICUE` instead of "unique". (Norbert, Cipherbrain comment #71.)

the section headers exactly. (Two contested counts settled: page 20 carries **19**, not 18; page 21

` x `. **Do NOT read these `x` as a digit**; every factor is a pure run of decimal digits.
Division is a horizontal bar → a row of `-`. Exponents are printed superscripts → `^n`; no exponent
exceeds a single superscript digit anywhere on pages 17–22. **ONE anomaly:** page 19 fraction 2 has
a distinct *larger, upright* `×` (times cross) between the leading `2` and the `3` of the
denominator — preserved as `×` below, and it is the only `×` in the whole block. The decorative
right-hand figures (a Venus/idol silhouette on pp. 17–20, standing figures on p. 21, a horned-idol /

## 6.3 Gaps on the pages-17–22 arithmetic (honest)

1. Raw multi-hundred-digit expansions exist in the corpus only for page-17 fractions 1–5 (defango, §3.4 shows fraction 1). The seven defango pastebins holding full pages-17–23 expansions — `ymL4jWQB` (p17), `ZM7grU1y` (p18), `8Eq9AX4P` (p19), `AZK4Gn8J` (p20), `BXReGVmw` (p21), `YGLN9a6R` (p22), `8tT5QRds` (p23) — are **all HTTP 404** and Wayback holds only post-deletion 404 pages.
2. Pages 18–22 factorisations are cross-channel verified (Wikia + image reads) but *not* triply witnessed the way page 17 is.
3. Nobody, in any channel, ever explained **how the reader knew where each line's meaningful segment ended** within a long expansion, or **why** the tail beyond the message is discarded. It is observed, never justified.
4. Tappeiner's full ~500-digit results were never published in full.

# 7. THE MP3 AND ITS SPECTROGRAM MESSAGE (audio chain, step 1)

## 7.3 Method and surviving images

- **Tool:** Sonic Visualiser (spelled "Sonic Visualizer" by the discoverer), Spectrogram layer. A Hive walkthrough adds that Adobe Audition also reveals it.
- **GAP:** no FFT window size, overlap %, bin count, colour map, gain or frequency range was ever published by anyone. The text is legible in the default spectrogram view because it is drawn as bright text into the frequency band. Exact parameters are a **permanent GAP**.

**The audio bytes are permanently lost.** The whole `instaudio` S3 bucket returns `NoSuchBucket`;

### VARIANT — "LITTLE MIND" vs "LITTLE BIRD" (both circulate; BIRD is forced)

- **`LITTLE MIND`** is the raw first reading as posted (Norbert #46; tikitembo7's `df02ruz`). It dominates older, especially German-language, write-ups.
- **`LITTLE BIRD`** is the corrected reading — proposed by Cipherbrain reader **Alex** (#57), confirmed by **Norbert** (#59): *"Alex, you're right. It's LITTLE BIRD."* — and argued independently by tikitembo7 inside the same comment `df02ruz`. "Little bird" = Twitter.
- **The correction is provably forced, not aesthetic:** distinct pattern letters must map to distinct plaintext letters. `KNOWS` / `WHEN` / `OPEN` force pattern-letter `j = N`. "MIND" would additionally require `g = N`; but `g ≠ j` by construction. **MIND is inconsistent; BIRD is the only compatible reading.**
- **The ciphertext is not in dispute** — only the English gloss. The load-bearing datum is the pattern token `abccad`, and it is unaffected.

> **Also a correction to the brief:** the single line `LITTLE BIRD KNOWS WHEN THE GATE IS OPEN END END END` does **not** appear as one continuous line in any 2017 source. The primary layout is the phrase 3×, with the onion between repeats, then `END END END`. Treat the one-liner as a later retelling.

Contemporary aside worth keeping (Norbert #49): *"TOR is the German word for GATE"* — "when the
GATE is open" is a bilingual pun on Tor.

**Genuine open end:** the final pattern word **`rssstuvwx`** (9 symbols) is unconstrained by the

**Corrupted variant to AVOID.** A garbled retelling circulates with a truncated first line

decode**. Use the full 176-character block.

## 9.4 Did the onion ever serve content?

- **Tor v2** (16-char base32 label). The six leading `666666` are a **mined vanity prefix** — cheap. (The circulating "1.89 billion years on a 2017 GTX 1080 Ti" figure applies to matching all 16 characters, not a 6-character prefix. Generators named in the sources: Shallot, SCALLION, Eschalot, GARLIC.) Tor v2 was disabled network-wide in **October 2021**, so the address is permanently unreachable. **Per ground rule, the .onion was NOT fetched.**
- **Phase 1 — dead (mid/late March 2017).** u/defango got a timeout on 2017-03-18; Cipherbrain reader "Renederberserker" reported it didn't work; u/MJMULDER ran `proxychains nmap` on 2017-03-30 21:17 UTC. VERBATIM:

(Caveat: an unlinked file would not appear in an index; the claim is about what the index listed.) **This corrects the corpus record in `nothingisrandom-txt--MERGED.md` §1, which says the gate exposed "THREE PGP-signed items" and counts "The gate is open now" among them — that was the *announcement* (pastebin `P59Kf0cs` / `iA558C4F`), not a file on the onion.**
- Both files carry mtime **`2017-03-14 15:09`** → 3/14 15:09 → **3.14159 = π**. Read directly off the primary screenshot, no longer just tikitembo7's parenthetical claim. The files were staged on Pi Day, **19 days before the gate opened**.
- The listing is standard Apache `mod_autoindex` output, which fixes the size-rounding semantics and permits a file-size completeness test (§10.3, §11.4).

## 9.6 Reader speculation about the address (SPECULATION tier, recorded so it is not re-discovered)

- `666666 m (7x6x5)` read as `666666 mod (7·6·5 = 210) = 126` — **arithmetic verified this session** — 126 being the one nuclear magic number omitted from the author's signed list `2, 8, 20, 28, 50, 82, ...`. Attractive, unproven.
- `regc` — "register c" (reader Thomas) vs. a meaningless brute-force tail (reader Arminius). No resolution.
- The "supercomputer / alien vanity address" framing is SPECULATION and is self-rebutted within the same sources.

## 9.7 Relation to the page-23 matrix: NONE

**`themessage.txt` is cryptographically authenticated, character by character.**

- `harvest/026-themessage-6448-RECONSTRUCTED-PGP-VERIFIED.asc` (7354 bytes) — **`gpg --verify` in this session: `Good signature from "Tengri 137"`, RSA key `D152D6C5666AB731`, fingerprint `2A2C0AD4ED1CAD8353A30056D152D6C5666AB731`, signature made 2017-04-02 11:11:28 UTC.**
- That file is a **splice**, and the splice is precisely what proves the case: the **body** comes from Cipherbrain comment #11 by reader "Thomas" (3 April 2017); the **armor + signature** (`=MLam`) come from defango's still-live paste `pastebin.com/raw/5kQsJtRE`, whose own body is only the **first 404 characters** and which therefore verifies **BAD**. An RSA-4096/SHA-256 signature cannot be made to fit a body it does not cover, so the splice does not *assume* the body — it **tests** it, and the body passes.
- **Adversarial mutation battery** (each row re-splices the same armor onto a mutated body):

community's "modified-Arecibo 4×4 key, **reported NOT invertible mod 26**" (recorded in
`themessage-txt--MERGED.md` §4.4) therefore **cannot be the encryption matrix** — either that key
derivation is wrong, or the cipher is not a plain Hill cipher.

**Alphabet contrast worth stressing:** `themessage.txt` uses all 26 letters, including all seven
(`C D J Q V W X`) that the page-23 matrix never uses. A plain letter-for-letter identity between
the two artifacts is excluded.

## 10.5 Open items on `themessage.txt`

- **Plaintext: NOT established.** Out of scope for this file, and unsolved in the record.
- **Completeness tension (now effectively resolved but recorded):** the same commenter "Thomas" wrote in the very next comment (#12) *"Sorry, this is only the beginning of the message. Can´t post the complete message (6448 letters!)"*, implying #11 was truncated — yet the captured #11 block is itself exactly 6448 chars, **and it verifies GOOD**. Most likely #11 was later completed/edited and the 2024 capture reflects the completed state. The signature settles the substance.
- Whether the file served by the onion had a trailing newline or internal wrapping cannot be confirmed beyond what the signature covers.

# 11. `nothingisrandom.txt` — the second onion file

## 11.1 Identity

The PGP-signed prose message whose refrain is "NOTHING IS RANDOM", ending with `Next step:` /
`3151` / a 1422-digit number / `Now solve themessage.txt`. It is the author's own gloss on where
the page-23 matrix stood.

**FIDELITY CAVEATS — read before using.**
- The only clear-web reproduction of the body is **Cipherbrain comment #11 by reader "Thomas"** (3 April 2017), and WordPress ran it through `wptexturize`: the BEGIN line renders as an em/en-dash run `—–BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE—–` instead of five ASCII hyphens, straight quotes were curled to `“…”`, and `...` became `…`. **The original signed onion file used plain ASCII.** That raw form lived on the dead paste `u7pFiCpD` and could NOT be recovered.
- **The `-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----` … `-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----` block is NOT reproduced anywhere and is NOT recovered.** The commenter stripped both armor blocks (verified by grep on two 2017 captures: `'BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE'` occurrences = 0, `'iQIcBAEB'` = 0) and joined the two file bodies with a `—————` separator.
- Therefore: **`nothingisrandom.txt` is ATTRIBUTED, not cryptographically verified.** This is the one place where `themessage.txt`'s luck did not repeat — no equivalent "truncated body + intact signature" carrier exists for it.

chars); Imgur `9PA3HMW` (PNG 114 × 827, 21380 bytes, SHA-256
`315b2c2bacaae094a1d72e0ac0dcc42214a8deb7b852c1f237854b9c29fd2aee`, on disk as
`harvest/083-nothingisrandom-arecibo-9PA3HMW.png`) renders it as an Arecibo-style pictogram.
**GRADE: the 1422 digits are PRIMARY; the run-length transform and the 23 × 137 layout are a
contemporary community decode (April 2017); "it is an Arecibo message" is their interpretation.**

## 11.4 Completeness bound from the onion directory listing

The index (§9.5) shows `nothingisrandom.txt` at `3.8K`, which inverts to the byte window
**[3840, 3942]**. Reconstruction = recovered prose (ASCII-derived) + blank line + the standard
signature armor + trailing newline. Every Tengri 137 signature armor block in the corpus is
**exactly 818 bytes with LF / 834 bytes with CRLF** (measured across 39 on-disk copies, 13 distinct
signatures), so the armor size is a constant, not a guess.

was written in **German**, with a German-grammar slip ("ein Intelligenztest" for "einen

- **19 clearsigned messages + 4 detached signatures = 23 artifacts verified GOOD** against fingerprint `2A2C0AD4ED1CAD8353A30056D152D6C5666AB731`, spanning **2016-05-14 → 2019-02-22**.
- **Both matrix publications are GOOD-signed**, so the 154-letter grid, its exact mirror, the "Nothing is random." line, the magic-number sequence and the bit.ly pointer are all PRIMARY.
- **`themessage.txt` at 6448 letters is cryptographically proven** (§10.3).
- **`nothingisrandom.txt` is the one file with no surviving signature** — ATTRIBUTED, not verified.
- **Two impostor artifacts positively identified** (§12.7).
- **Zero GOOD signatures exist on any Discord-era, "Eternal Library", KIWI/GARLIC, IPv6 or `rjzdqt4z3z3xo73h.onion` claim.** Nothing in that body of material is signed. It stays **SPECULATION**.

# 13. VERIFICATION LOG — everything computed in this pass

Run 2026-07-24 on macOS Darwin 25.5.0, `python3`, `gpg` (GnuPG 2.5.20), `shasum`.
No network access was needed for any of it; every input was a corpus file on disk.

**Page-23 matrix**
- Re-derived all 11 rows from the printed fractions (exact `Fraction` arithmetic; period = multiplicative order of 10 mod the reduced denominator; hard-coded Z→symbol table for Z=1…118). **11/11 rows reproduce the signed grid exactly.** Pre-period = 0 on all 11.
- Enumerated all valid 14-token segmentations per row → uniqueness table §1.11; row 9 → exactly 5 (§1.10); naive 2-digit split of row 9 → 15 tokens, `NANPSSGNNRCSSSE`.
- Counted rows (11), row lengths (all 14), flat length (154), SHA-256 of the flat string, alphabet (19), never-used set (7), full frequency table, vowel share.
- Computed the column readout; verified col2 == col6 for rows 1–10 and differs at row 11; verified col12 rows 1–5 = `MMMMM`.
- Diffed the published mirrored grid against the exact mirror of the forward grid → **exactly one** mismatch, row 10 col 3 (`M` vs `N`); recounted M/N in both editions.
- Machine-extracted the 11 grid rows from **both raw signed pastebins** and compared to the derivation → identical.
- Confirmed `solve/page23_flat.txt` equals the derived 154-char string.

**PGP**
- Imported the key into an isolated scratch `GNUPGHOME`; printed the fingerprint (matches).
- `gpg --verify` on `FAJNLpLZ`, `YUPZsz9n`, the 6448-letter `themessage.txt` reconstruction, and `P59Kf0cs` → **all four GOOD**, with signature times 2017-03-12 09:47:24, 2017-03-29 18:58:59, 2017-04-02 11:11:28, 2017-04-02 19:48:00 UTC (converted from the local CET/CEST that gpg printed).
- `gpg --verify` on all four detached signatures against their actual binaries → **all four GOOD**; re-hashed and re-measured each binary.

**Pages 17–22**
- Recomputed page-17 fraction 1: numerator/denominator products, 112 decimals, 56 dinomes, 56 element symbols, 56 first letters (`TIMEFORTHETRUTH…`), and compared defango's 615 posted digits against exact long division → **byte-identical**.

- P015: computed the repeating period = **exactly 46** and the 46-digit block; string-searched and confirmed all eight claimed embedded substrings; counted the denominator repunit = **23 ones**.
- P013 and P014: recomputed all four values at 140-digit precision; all four published strings correct.

**themessage.txt**
- Length 6448; SHA-256; zero non-A–Z; 26 distinct letters; full frequency table summing to 6448; IoC; factorization `2^4×13×31`; all divisor pairs; SHA-256 of the 404-char prefix; first/last 40.
- Kasiski over all pairs for repeat lengths 5,6,7,8,10,12 → gap counts 577/417/300/189/55/21, **GCD 4 in every case, every gap ≡ 0 mod 4**.
- Aligned 4-block census (1612 total / 1184 distinct / 265 repeated-distinct / 693 occurrences), top blocks, and the offset control (265 / 85 / 69 / 84).
- Longest repeated n-gram = 16 (exactly one, occurring twice); zero repeated 17-grams. Top 8-grams recounted.

**nothingisrandom.txt**
- Digit string length 1422; SHA-256; full digit histogram; `1422 = 2×3²×79`.
- Run-length decode → 867 one-bits + 2284 zero-bits = **3151 bits = 23 × 137** (verified).
- Measured both body files (WordPress-rendered: 2975 chars / 63 lines / 3049 bytes / SHA-256; ASCII-derived: 3003 bytes / 63 lines / SHA-256).

**Audio chain**
- A/x block: 176 chars, alphabet `{A,x}`, 79 A + 97 x, wrapped line lengths 50/50/50/26, 176 bits → 22 bytes, zero residue, hex and ASCII reproduced, label length 16 → Tor v2.
- WAV transcript: 60 lines (59 × 50 + 1 × 44), 2994 digits, alphabet `0–8`, full digit histogram, SHA-256, digit `8` occurs 3× on lines 5/23/41.
- **Re-derived the entire meta-transcription from the transcript**: tokenising on `0` gives **710 tokens** over exactly **27 distinct** values, all 27 present in Norbert's key table (zero uncovered), and mapping them reproduces the published `abccadef…` / `yzyz` / A/x×3 / `djhedjhedjh` string **exactly, all 710 letters**. This is an independent cross-check of the key against the transcript that the corpus had not performed.

**Files / images**

# 14. INCONSISTENCIES FOUND INSIDE THE CORPUS (flagged, not silently fixed)

These are places where corpus files disagree with each other or with what I measured. None changes
the page-23 matrix.

1. **`WE WILL GIVE YOU KNOWLEDGS` vs `KNOWLEDGE` (page 21, line 1).** `artifacts/pages-17-22-plaintext--MERGED.md` prints `KNOWLEDGS` **and** lists it among the genuine cipher-output spelling oddities; `artifacts/tappeiner-method--MERGED.md` Part 10 prints `KNOWLEDGE` for the same line, from the same solver's Reddit post. **Unresolved from the sources available on disk.** This file prints `KNOWLEDGS` (the reading that two independent places in the plaintext artifact agree on) and flags the conflict. It is one letter of decoded plaintext, not cipher data.

2. **`themessage.txt` graded MEDIUM when it is actually cryptographically proven.** `artifacts/themessage-txt--MERGED.md` §3c grades the artifact **MEDIUM** and says the tail "rests on a single source", with **no mention of the PGP verification at all** — even though `harvest/026-themessage-6448-RECONSTRUCTED-PGP-VERIFIED.asc` existed and verifies GOOD. `verify/themessage.txt raw contents--VERIFY.md` likewise never mentions the signature. **Superseded by §10.3 here: the correct grade is CRYPTOGRAPHIC.**

3. **The onion served TWO files, not three.** `artifacts/nothingisrandom-txt--MERGED.md` §1 says the gate "exposed THREE PGP-signed items" and counts "The gate is open now" among them. The primary directory-listing screenshot (§9.5) lists exactly two: `nothingisrandom.txt` and `themessage.txt`. "The gate is open now" was the **announcement** (pastebin `P59Kf0cs`/`iA558C4F`), not a file on the server.

4. **Imgur album `FoIi5` is not missing.** `artifacts/nothingisrandom-txt--MERGED.md` §5d and `artifacts/onion-derivation--MERGED.md` §8 record it as "dead link, not archived, MISSING (both reconstructions agree)". **It is live**, was fetched, and is on disk at `gaps/seed-01-imgur-FoIi5-HD9qrYY-onion-page-screenshot.png`. It is the only surviving visual of the live hidden service and it carries the π-timestamp evidence.

5. **Line-count arithmetic slip.** `artifacts/nothingisrandom-txt--MERGED.md` §0 states the prose block is "2975 characters, 65 lines". Measured: **2975 characters, 63 lines**. Cosmetic, but it is an internal arithmetic inconsistency.

6. **A/x wrapped-line lengths.** `onion-derivation--A.md` annotates the wrapped block as "49 / 49 / 49 / 25 (176 total)", which is wrong and self-inconsistent (49×3+25 = 172). Measured **50 / 50 / 50 / 26 = 176**. Already corrected in the MERGED file; repeated here because the wrong figure is still on disk in the `--A` file.

7. **WAV transcript line count.** `wav-octal--A.md`'s rendered code block contains 59 lines / 2944 digits (one all-zeros padding line dropped) while its own prose asserts 60 / 2994. The authoritative form is **60 lines / 2994 digits** (§8.3). No cryptographic effect.

8. **`iJNtBJHC` timestamp.** `artifacts/pgp-artifacts--A/B/MERGED.md` state the foreign detached signature `iJNtBJHC` was created `2019-12-31 12:37:42 UTC`. The packet says `created 1577798262` = **13:17:42 UTC**. `verify/pgp-artifacts--VERIFY.md` caught this; the `--A`/`--B`/`--MERGED` files were never updated and still carry the wrong time.

9. **"The author called the right-to-left orientation the correct one."** This is in the standing case brief and is **not supported by any author statement in the corpus**. Its real source is a Tengri 137 Wikia editor's line, phrased as a question: `Last staus update from Tengri 137 Twitter account shows us the correct version of use?:`. The tweet itself is a bare URL, and the author's own signed wording is "the first sequence" / "the second sequence distributed". See §1.14. **Regrade: SPECULATION.**

10. **The Kasiski gap counts depend on the counting convention.** `gaps/seed-01-…` reports 577 gaps at repeat-length 5; that is the **all-pairs** count (which I reproduce exactly). Counting only *consecutive* occurrences gives 392. Both are correct under their own convention; the file does not state which it used. Recorded so the numbers are not mistaken for a discrepancy.

11. **Segmentation uniqueness is conditional.** `solve/INDEPENDENT-VERIFICATION.md` states the dinome segmentation is unique for rows 1–8, 10, 11. True **only if single-digit tokens are excluded**. Allowing 1-digit tokens, rows 4, 6, 8 and 11 admit 20, 63, 15 and 15 alternative parses. The "no single-digit dinome" convention is nowhere stated by the author (§1.11).

12. **Two "corrections to the brief" that the corpus is right about and the brief is wrong about**, restated here so they are not re-litigated: the MP3 spectrogram hid **only a URL** (§7); and the beep packets are **base-9 (0–8, 16–144 ms)**, not octal (§8.2).

# 15. CONSOLIDATED GAPS — what is genuinely unrecoverable or untried

**Unrecoverable (established, do not re-hunt without a new channel)**

1. **The beep WAV audio bytes** — the whole `instaudio` S3 bucket is deleted; Wayback has zero captures; the one apparent mirror is a 319-byte error page. No hash or waveform of the payload can ever be produced. Norbert's transcript is all that survives.
2. **The beep WAV's own spectrogram PNG** — same dead bucket.
3. **The MP3 spectrogram image** — every independent mirror is dead; only Schmeh's re-host survives.
4. **`nothingisrandom.txt`'s PGP signature block** — the commenter who reproduced the body stripped both armor blocks (grep-verified on two 2017 captures); `u7pFiCpD` and `BcMucDVh` are 404 and the raw of `u7pFiCpD` was never archived. Structural reason: `themessage.txt`'s signature survived only because defango happened to paste a *truncated body with a complete signature*; no equivalent carrier exists for `nothingisrandom.txt`.
5. **The rune→Latin per-glyph chart** (`3I68n.png`) — dead raster, no CDX capture. The glyph shapes survive only in the page rasters.
6. **Defango's seven per-page expansion pastebins** (`ymL4jWQB`, `ZM7grU1y`, `8Eq9AX4P`, `AZK4Gn8J`, `BXReGVmw`, `YGLN9a6R`, `8tT5QRds`) — all 404; Wayback holds only post-deletion 404 pages.
7. **The `.onion` itself** — Tor v2, disabled network-wide October 2021, never Wayback-captured.

**Open leads that were identified but not pursued**

14. **The four third-party keys that certified `0x666AB731`** — `040484988228DD98` (2017-05-03), `A49BDCD5BC224010` (2017-05-07), `D2FBEC71DB65A36D` (2017-05-27), `6966D8E21ACC064F` (2017-11-23). Their UIDs might identify who was close enough to the author to sign the key. **Never fetched.**
15. **Imgur album `tdYJJet`** (pointed to by the GOOD 2019-02-22 message) and **YouTube `XV2AlgPBZPE`** (pointed to by the GOOD 2017-04-08 message) — never analysed.
16. **A higher-resolution scan of page 23** — would settle whether the printed fractions carry any graphical hint of dinome segmentation. The best available raster is 1332 × 1998 px.
17. **A second full copy of `themessage.txt`** would be redundant now (the signature settles it), but a surviving copy of `BcMucDVh` or `u7pFiCpD` would close gap 4.
18. **Key-space search for the `themessage.txt` cipher** under the constraints `gcd(det K, 26) = 1` and at least one of difference-families #1 / #2 as a column direction (§10.4). Large, but structured.

**And the actual open problem**

19. **The MEANING of the 154-letter matrix.** Every byte of it is recovered, signed, and reproducible. Nobody — including the corpus, including this pass — has produced a confirmed plaintext, in either orientation, by any method. That is where the case stands.
